Character: Pascal
Series: Tales of Graces f
Character Age: 22
Job: Laptop Repair Technician
Canon: Asbel Lhant is the happiest wannabe knight in Lhant village. One day, he and his brother discover a strange amnesiac girl and Asbel immediately decides that clearly the best person in the world to protect her is an eleven year old shonen hero. Shockingly, this all goes horribly wrong when the girl seemingly sacrifices herself to save Asbel and his friends. What is a shonen hero to do? Apparently, the answer is “run away and become a real knight so you can protect everyone forever.” Seven years later, Asbel returns home and rediscovers his old friend just in time to learn that another old friend is trying to destroy the world. What is a shonen hero to do? Why, gather some friends and save the world (and the villain) of course!
Pascal is one of those gathered friends, and the only one Asbel hasn’t known since he was a child. This is, perhaps, somewhat mitigated by the fact that she often acts like a child herself. Pascal’s eager and over-excitable nature conceals that fact that she is truly a genius when it comes to machines. From an automatic egg-cracker to the device that pours energy into the world if you want it, Pascal can build it.

Can you perform a flawless headshot?
Heck yeah I can! You just point me at whatever monster gets in the way and I’ll just be all “KA-POW right in the kisser!” I can also use cryas artes to manipulate the elements and cast totally devastatingly powerful spells. So even if I couldn’t be all “KA-POW” I could still be all “FWOOSH” and then they’d be all like “Oh no I’m on fire and stuff.”
If there was a good dog and a criminal both hanging from a cliff and you could only save one, which would you save and why?
Hnnn...that’s a toughie. I think I need some background info on this one. Like...how high is the cliff? And how come I can’t save them both? How is the dog even hanging onto the cliff? Something tells me you’re not going to help me out with this one though, and I just gotta give an answer. This is one of those ‘what kind of person are you’ questions after all. All right, well, I guess...if I couldn’t save both of them myself, I’d just build a Mecha-Me to save the other one! Problem solved! Pascal saves the day again!
Do you have a five year plan in mind?
Oh come on! Who has one of these? Five years is way too long to plan for! I mean, anything could happen in that time! I guess you want an answer though, huh? Well, all right, let’s compromise! I’ll tell you my five day plan.
For day one...let’s see...I was going to finish my automatic shoe tyer, but come to think of it, that Mecha-Me sounds like a really good idea so that’s been bumped up to number one, no question. Which means day two is definitely the automatic shoe tyer, obviously. Day three...day three...geeze, this is hard. How do people even do this for five whole years? Anyway, days three, four, and five involve me building even more totally awesome and useful stuff.
What is your job here at CFUD? What do you think that means?
I guess I’m a “professional laptop repair woman” or something? So, I’m not really sure what a laptop even is, but hey, once I figure it out I’m sure it’ll be super easy! People will be all “Oh no, Pascal, my laptop is all totally broken and stuff! Please fix it with your awesomeness!” and I’ll just be like kachinka-chinka and it’ll be good as new!

Series: Persona 4
Character Age: 17
Canon: A former city boy moves to a rural Japanese town suddenly plagued by a string of horrific and unsolvable murders upon his arrival. Since the police are stumped in their investigation, the duty of solving the mystery falls on a group of ordinary high schoolers who awaken the power of “Persona,” or the personified apparition of their inner selves that are used to battle enemies. Together, they learn about friendship, acceptance, and understanding.
There's no one better to tell you about understanding than our protagonist, the aforementioned city boy, Yu Narukami. Everyone he's met can give you at least one example of something he's done for them. Comforting a grieving old woman? Got it covered. Need confidence to play in the school band? He's on top of it. In fact, he's quite popular for the new boy in town, though his air of cool doesn't come without odd quirks. Sometimes he's chowing down on endless meat bowls and falling into a void he calls "the Meat Dimension,” taking odd-jobs to make some extra cash, or making friends with a fox. For all of the stake everyone has in him, he's a simple guy. Calm and level-headed, he’s reliable as they come, and ever the calm in the storm with a deadpan sense of humor. From his perspective, nothing can stop his steady path toward the truth.

I remember this--it's like being in front of the class and introducing myself. It’s all right, I’m used to it. I’ve done it a million times before.
I'm Yu Narukami, seventeen years old. I’ve just transferred in from the city, but I've always liked the quieter, smaller towns. Even the ones with tentacle monsters. Ah, though I guess that’s usually part of the script, but it does sound pretty flawless, doesn’t it? I’ll pencil it in. You know, for a summer camp, this looks nice. It’s a contrast from the life I’m used to. I'm still in high school, but I'm pretty good at keeping up with part-time jobs, so you can always let me know if you need something done. There has to be a lot of work that a summer camp calls for. I’ll try anything once, and I make a pretty mean omelette and rice.

Oh, I heard you had a dinosaur so I volunteered myself. Though that’s not the only interesting thing here. I can't wait to head down to the arts and crafts hut to make some macaroni art. I have a talent for arranging colored noodles. But the part that really drew me here … is the Director herself. Someone said that she's still investigating a murder that happened four years ago, and that she's holding people here hostage. It seems a little far-fetched the a summer camp is being used as a cover for undetermined detention, but I’ve seen stranger. A lot stranger. I had to see it for myself.

I know a lot about saving people, and some will tell you that you can’t save everyone, but they’re wrong. You just have to find a way to do it. I won’t be responsible for letting someone go, I’d save them both.
If you could get away with committing one crime and suffer absolutely no consequences, what would you do and why?
I’d control the steak distribution and take over the world.
Do you have a five year plan in mind?
No, not really. My parents move around a lot, so it's hard to settle into anything. They have their jobs and it really broadens my horizons. There's a lot of people I wouldn't have met without moving around. So, I guess I'll keep going and I'll hit the place where I'm supposed to be eventually. I’m not worried about it. This place might be just what I need. That or I’ll become the paper crane folding champion of the world.

Yu, I'm just not getting enough of the character out of his sample. I'm 100% canon-blind to this character. The first answer was pretty good, but it's hard for me to really get into the rest. I think there is some inside humor here that is lost on the canon blind.
