Character: Clark Kent / Superman
Series: Man of Steel
Character Age: 33
Job: Gossip Columnist
Canon: Once upon a time, a planet blew up. Which ended badly for the people there but not for one child who managed to escape; Kal-El, who was jettisoned to Earth and adopted by the Kents. With no understanding of his heritage or his past, Kal-El, now known as Clark Kent lives a quiet, isolated life, trying to keep his secret safe. However, when a band of Kryptonian exiles come to terraform Earth into the image of Krypton, Clark is forced to choose between them.

Clark was told that he had the power to change the world - and that wasn't necessarily a good thing. Forced to keep his abilities under wraps, Clark prefers to keep people at an emotional distance. That being said, Clark is highly compassionate and introspective, risking everything he has to protect complete strangers. Though he struggles with having faith in people and having faith in himself, Clark does believe in the inherent good and giving others second chances. With a quiet, understated sense of humour and sardonic view of the world, Clark is slowly overcoming his own fears so that he may truly be super for the people who look up to him.

Sample Entry:

Tell us about yourself in a few words.
Hello, my name is Clark Kent and I'm a reporter at the Daily Planet at Metropolis. Don't worry, right now everything is off the record. I won't report your embarrassing secrets. That would be unfair on our first meeting.

Ah, sorry about your arm. I'm afraid I don't know how to control my own strength.

Why are you joining our happy community?
Apparently there was a job opening for a . . . gossip columnist? While it's not my area of expertise, I'll do my best to stick to the facts. Of course, if the facts are beyond believable, I might embellish a little. I'm not sure camp is ready for the forbidden romance of Mr and Mrs. Toucan't. So names will be censored for the good of the public. I know that defeats the purpose of a gossip columnist, but I rather prefer people to be at ease with their identities.

Do you think you are good in a crisis? Why?
Well, I am a reporter and being a reporter in a crisis can be useful for providing people with the valuable information they need. And I can be very calm and collected during a crisis. Beyond that . . . I'm probably not much use.

What if the crisis involved the end of the world? Please explain.
If it does, then I'll do whatever I can to make sure the world doesn't end. I'm afraid that's all I'm going to say about it.

What do you expect from the campers here?
Ah, I hope they give me plenty of material for the gossip column but I doubt they'd take too kindly to that answer.

In all honesty, I'm not sure why I need to have any expectations of the campers. I'm sure they have a difficult time dealing with their own expectations without me adding to them.

If you could get away with committing one crime and suffer absolutely no consequences, what would you do and why?
I don't believe it is possible to do that. If you commit a crime, then there have to be consequences. It doesn't matter if they happen in a prison or in a court, it will happen regardless. I hope. . . No, I know that eventually, the consequences will catch up to you. No matter who you are or where you come from. No one is exempt from them.

. . . Sorry, this question was very personal to me.

Do you find these questions increasingly unnerving?
They're a little strange, but you should see some of the questions I'll come up with later. Don't worry. I'll pay you back for it.

What's the problem? Don't you trust us?
Not particularly, but trust can be earned. Maybe if you give it some time, we'll earn each other's trust.

If there was a good dog and a criminal both hanging from a cliff and you could only save one, which would you save and why?
This is a strange question to ask. But I wouldn't be worried about either of them. I'm excellent at catching people when they fall.
