Character: Lexa kom Trigedakru
Series: The 100
Character Age: late teens?
Canon: A hundred years after the end of the world, humanity's few survivors hidden away on board an orbiting satellite realize that, due to a malfunction that will take too long to fix, they are quickly running out of oxygen. They were supposed to last there until the radiation on Earth dissipated and allowed them to return home safely, but now the best solution they can come up with is to send down an expendable test group to the surface and cross their fingers that the world is more livable than they think it is. Which is how 100 criminal teenagers, as all criminal adults are of course immediately executed in the dystopian future, find themselves on their way to being the first to touch the soil and see the trees and breathe the air of Earth in a very long time.

Or so they think. I mean, you'd imagine this whole
Lord of the Flies thing in an unknown wilderness full of hungry, radiation-mutated animals and clouds of deadly acid fog would be difficult enough, but the 100 quickly realize they are not alone in the forest. Strange, savage warriors soon appear from the shadows of the trees, viewing the Sky People as invaders and preparing to put them all to the sword for the latest reincarnation of their immortal commander... a young girl in VERY impressive eye makeup. And Lexa of the Woods Clan, no matter your beliefs on past lives, is a born leader. Feared for her ruthlessness, but intelligent and open to ideas like subterfuge or even (shame on me for even suggesting it!) peace when it's in her people's best interest, she is a proud ruler who commands respect and demands obedience. Only she does so with a deliberate, detached calmness that might be more menacing than outright aggression. Other than the stubborn set of her jaw and some occasionally angry eyebrows, this terminally serious, forever line-faced barbarian queen gives away little of herself or her feelings. Emotion is weakness after all, and this is not a world in which weakness can ever be afforded, so logically, the best way to protect the people you love is to cut out your heart and become the monster they need watching over them. No matter how much it hurts.

Den dison bilaik yujnes-de kom Fokyudaikru? Haukom ai komgeda na gaf emo in?

Tell us about yourself in a few words.

...ah. You speak the language of the warriors. Very well. I suppose that will do, for introductions. I am Lexa, of the Woods Clan. Yes. You all know who I am. What you may not know, however, is that I am here for the discussion of an alliance between your people and mine.

Why are you joining our happy community?

You misunderstand. I am not here to join you. You are here to prove you are worthy of joining me. I was asked by your Heda kom Fokyudai... your Director... to come and see what your clan has to offer the other nations of the coalition. So far I am unimpressed, but I am told that it may take some time to inspect all your people and your resources, and I have free reign to do so as I please.

What do you expect from the campers here?

Absolute obedience. Nothing must be held back from me, or our negotiations will cease immediately.

What do you expect from the counselors?

The same, of course. The people will follow the lead of their generals, and you know the alternative. My armies are prepared to march. With or against you is still to be determined. Though the Director has made a good first step by reaching out to me, she and the rest of her counselors have much to prove, and much to learn about being leaders.

Like how to seduce handmaidens like a proper feudal lord?

What? You should stop talking now.

Do you consider yourself squeamish? Please provide an example.

You must be joking. Or seeking to test me? I am not here to provide stories, of battle or... anything else, for your amusement. First a ridiculous accusation, and then a questioning of my fortitude? I suggest you better control your tongue from this point on, before your Director and I take it from you. Mockery is not the product of a strong mind. Especially mockery of those who hold your lives in their hands.

Would you be able to dispose of the flesh of the undead? How?

Fine. We can discuss those creatures... In fire, the sins of the past are burned away. And in similar fashion will the taint of your abominations be cleansed from this world, if our alliance is made. I'm told they've been a plague on this land for too long now, consuming flesh as well as precious time and resources, thanks I imagine to some misguided compassion of yours for their former humanity. No longer will such weakness be allowed under my leadership. I can provide your people with many things. This lesson most certainly among them... The dead are gone, and will stay so. The living are hungry enough already.
